Harmony belles…from folk and roots harmony duo to jazz standards and beyond.

Mary Moore and Sue McCarthy have parleyed their 30+ years friendship into folk, roots-inspired harmony vocals as each eventually explored jazz standards. Now they’re reconnecting with their roots and bringing those harmonies into the jazz world.

Sue McCarthy has been singing and playing everything from Bluegrass to Celtic music and lately to jazz for 35 years, first as a bassist, then as a flautist and now as a saxophonist.

Like Sue, Mary Moore has a lifetime musical history, with choral singing from childhood, then in a number of auditioned choirs from madrigal to modern, from dixieland to big band, roots to blues.

Mary and Sue are backed by amazing musicians and GigSpace founders, Tim Bedner on Guitar, Mark Alcorn on bass and Marilee Townsend-Alcorn on drums.

Come and join us as we explore the transitions and influences of folk, roots and jazz in a melting pot of sound.
