Jazz Drummer Lecture/Demo/Concert
Ted Warren, recently featured on the cover of “Drums etc.”, and recipient of The Jazz Report’s “Drummer of the Year” award, will give insight to his playing style, discuss the drummer’s creative role within a group, give advice on how to play with a drummer and how a drummer works to create a cohesive rhythm section, there will be a Q&A session at the end.
Hosted by Marilee Townsend, Ted will be joined by Peter Hum (piano) and Mark Alcorn (bass). This session will be of interest not only to drummers, but to all instrumentalists (including vocalists) and music fans. An excellent opportunity to understand and learn from the drummers’ perspective!
