Elise Letourneau is an accomplished performer, arranger, educator, and multiple award-winning composer. She is the founding music director of Capital Vox Jazz Choir, which has been heralded as Canada’s first community jazz choir. Elise also established and directs Vox Eclectica Women’s Chamber Choir. With her background in classical, jazz, and contemporary styles, Elise brings a varied palette of sound and experience to her music. An associate composer of the Canadian Music Centre, her music has been performed on both sides of the Atlantic, by choirs including the Vancouver Chamber Choir, Canada’s National Youth Choir, the Toronto Children’s Chorus, the Cantiamo Choir, and others. She has performed with many internationally acclaimed musicians including Sheila Jordan, Oliver Lake, Janet Lawson, Bob Dorough, Paula Cole, Dan Haerle, and others. Elise received her music training at Humber College and Berklee College of Music.
