Andrew Hill and Herbie Nichols are two of the most forward looking and underrated jazz composers who hail from the golden era of Blue Note records. Though both composers tried to advance the idea of what jazz was like their peers (Coltrane, Monk, Shorter etc) they did not, and still don’t, receive the same attention as them. Come out to see this rarely performed music!
For tickets, call 613-729-0693 or drop into GigSpace Monday through Thursday between 3 and 9 p.m. Tickets also available at the door one hour before the concert.
