Juno nominated Jazz artist Micah Barnes returns with his new one man show “Crowd Sourced Cabaret”!
Micah’s new show includes audiences favourite “cover tunes” from uptown Jazz and Broadway to Back Alley Blues and Doo Wop (with a few Nylons classics!) that he has collected during the “New York Stories” national tour dates. Micah is the founder of Singers Playground, his coaching school which has supported the next generation of artists with vocal, performance and career strategy coaching in Los Angeles, New York and Toronto since 1996. Micah’s masterclass and private sessions have brought a deeper command of their craft to thousands of young and mid career artists across all areas of the industry and genres of music having travelled the world as a member of The Nylons and as a solo recording Jazz artist himself.

*2007-2010 Micah was on faculty at The Centre For Indiginous Theatre working with students on vocal and performance technique and supporting song and play creation with director Muriel Miguel (Spider woman) and artistic director/principle Rose Stella.
*1998-2006 Micah served on the faculty at The Highways Performing Arts University in Santa Monica California coaching performance workshops for musical and theatrical artists for the ground breaking Performance Art institute.

Micah travels to New York and Los Angeles on a regular basis to work with clients as well as coaching private sessions at his Toronto Singers Playground studio. His Singers Playground performance workshops which he developed at The Highways Performing Arts
