Ottawa pianist Steve Boudreau has recently moved back to Ottawa after studies in Boston and touring North America with various musical productions. During that time away he deepened his appreciation for jazz old and new, and made a goal to explore new sounds with a traditional Jazz Messengers-type band format. This new 5-piece band will debut compositions and arrangements of original music as well as some lesser heard pieces by jazz composers. The line up of musicians will be announced in September.

Mark Ferguson has over twenty years of experience in the music industry, working as a pianist, trombonist, composer, arranger, producer, and educator.  He has performed with many of the world’s great artists including Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Gil Evans, Nelson Riddle, Dionne Warwick, Natalie Cole, Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdink, Rosemary Clooney, Carol Channing, Rob McConnell & the Boss Brass, Holly Cole, the National Arts Centre Orchestra, and the Funk Brothers of “Standing in the Shadow of Motown” fame, and the nine member world beat band Manteca. Mark’s most recent recording project is a collaboration with Mike Tremblay. Mike plays saxophone, Mark is on piano for their debut CD entitled “Home”. The album is available at CDBaby.
