Garry Elliott Trio

Garry Elliott (guitar), Mark Ferguson (organ), Val Nehovora (drums)

Guitarist Garry Elliott is a respected and well-known musician, composer and teacher in Ottawa who is equally at home performing in the classical and jazz music genres. He collaborates regularly with a variety of local musicians, some with whom he has co-composed and recorded. 

Garry’s collaborations include the CD Habañera with flutist Gertrude Létourneau, Pre-Dawn Skies, with originals composed by both Garry and pianist Stephen Boudreau, and more recently, the CD Opus 2, co-composed and performed by Garry and Stephen, and featuring the talents of Montreal-based musicians Camil Belisle on drums and bassist Adrian Vedady. He has also performed and recorded with Ottawa composer-guitarist Roddy Ellias and the tango nuevo ensemble Norteño, and has appeared numerous times at the Ottawa Jazz Festival.
